Care Instructions

At FleurWhisper, we believe your lingerie should stay as beautiful as the day you bought it. To help you achieve this, we've compiled essential care instructions for your delicate items. By following these guidelines, you can preserve the beauty, shape, and delicate materials of your lingerie for as long as possible.

Washing

Hand Wash: Recommended for most lingerie pieces, especially those made of delicate fabrics like lace or silk. Use a mild detergent and lukewarm water. Gently agitate the water and let the lingerie soak for about 5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Machine Wash: If machine washing is necessary, use a gentle cycle with cold water. Always place lingerie in a mesh laundry bag to protect it from snagging or tangling with other garments. Use a gentle detergent.

Detergent: Opt for mild, lingerie-specific detergents or a mild, dye-free, and fragrance-free soap. Harsh chemicals can damage delicate fabrics.

Drying

Air Dry: Lay the lingerie flat on a clean, dry towel, or hang it on a drying rack away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Direct sunlight can fade the colors, and heat can deform elastic fabrics.

No Heat Dryers: Avoid using tumble dryers, even on a low heat setting, as the heat and agitation can cause stretching, shrinking, or other damage.

Storing

Shape Maintaining: For bras and structured lingerie, store them in a way that maintains their shape. Avoid folding padded bras in half. Instead, stack them with similar styles to preserve the cups' shape.

Avoid Overcrowding: Give your lingerie some space in the drawer to prevent them from getting crushed or tangled. Drawer organizers can be helpful.

Special Pieces: For particularly delicate or embellished items, consider storing them in individual fabric bags or a separate compartment to avoid snagging or damage.

Specific Fabric Care

Silk: Always hand wash silk items in cold water and avoid wringing them out. Use a silk-friendly detergent.

Lace: Handle lace with extra care during washing and drying. Lace is prone to snagging and can lose its shape if stretched.

Synthetic Fabrics: Synthetic materials like polyester are more durable, but still, benefit from gentle washing and air drying to maintain their condition.
